Kongu Nanbargal Sangam has traditionally worked as a friendly meeting place for families from the Kongu region living in and around Chennai. The Sangam supports cultural programmes, educational initiatives, matrimonial guidance, student accommodation through Kongu Nadu Illam and charitable activities whenever the community needs collective help.
